Kelly Hanning received her Master’s degree in Art Education from Nazareth University and works as an artist and art educator in Rochester, NY. In this role, she serves as content leader to develop standards-based inclusive curriculum focusing on asset-based approaches to art education, while connecting students with local and national artists. Throughout her career, Kelly received many local and regional curriculum grants, and was awarded with the Region 2 Art Educator of the Year Award from the New York State Art Teachers Association in 2022, and the Eastern Region Elementary Art Educator of the Year Award from the National Art Education Association in 2024. She is currently an adjunct professor for Nazareth University’s Art and Design Department and teaches K-12 Art in her local school district.
